This peice starts with a figured black walnut bookmatch panel.  The asanoha pattern is inlaid with a copper/epoxy blend and polished to bring out the reflective properties of the copper.  The moon phase is inlaid maple.   The frame is a made from sapele and features a sawtooth hanger for easy mounting.  
 
The lunar cycle has been and continues to be a sacred time keeper.  A reminder to reflect on your accompishments and focus on your aspirations.
