This lamp is made from cherry and has a basswood kumiko panel with tear resistant shoji paper.  Openings at the top and back allow for greater illumination of a space and add to the overall decorative elements of the lamp.  Brass screws in the back allow for access to changing the bulb and the dimmer switch offers the ability to use in low lighting situations.  
 
Great for a desk or side/hallway table scenario!
